It’s a big day in our little community: The GIVER issue of the Fibre Muse Quarterly is here! I designed this issue not only for those of you who identify as Givers, but also for the Giver that lives inside every one of my Fibre Muse community members. I know it will inspire you to take time to think of others, to take up your knitting for the betterment of those around you, and also to stop and enjoy the moment as you craft and create your way through the holiday season.

The Giver issue is filled to the brim with so much goodness, I can’t wait to share it with you!

Here’s a little preview:

  • This issue features 8 patterns, all designed with The Giver in mind. That means that for this time around I focused on single-skein projects for easy gift knitting, chunky/bulky knits for the winter season, and soft, neutral colors for a cozy vibe. Flip through the lookbook to see the patterns inside!

  • The pattern collection features two cowls, two hats, three shawls, and a cardigan -- I think you’ll find there’s something for everyone on your knit-worthy list (hopefully, even yourself!).

  • The featurettes in this issue will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the following amazing fiber artists and businesses: Dashota, Woodsy and Wild, Blind Buck Farms, SixandSeven Fibers, Knitcraft and Knittery, and Fibre Co.

  • You’ll find two interviews and four articles to help fuel your creative energy as you get into the Giver spirit this holiday season.

  • As always, you’ll receive full tutorial and pattern support with every purchase!

Since this issue is all about giving, I’ve got some gifts for you as well!

The first 100 people who purchase The GIVER issue of The Fibre Muse Quarterly will get a FREE handmade Fibre Muse tote bag* from Work + Shelter, a company in India that educates + pays their workforce to empower them economically. This offer is also available to anyone who purchases a subscription to The Fibre Muse quarterly (which will begin with this issue!). Click here to purchase a subscription or the single issue.

In the spirit of the Giver Fibre Muse, $5 of every purchase this Black Friday weekend will be donated to Toi Maori Aotearoa. Toi Maori Aotearoa is a charitable trust that promotes Maori traditional arts and Maori artists, both in New Zealand and overseas.
