Birthday Yarn Shipment, Part 1

Even though my birthday is on March 3rd, my husband gave me my yarn parcel to open up early. I did not complain. My second yarn shipment is coming in from Mont-Tricot in Canada so I think I still got a while to wait before that one arrives...

In this stash I got three skeins of Woolfolk TYND yarn in colorway #9 for a sister shawl design to the Caprius Shawl. I love how absolutely soft the yarn is, it's like nothing I've ever experienced before I got this brand.

The other set of yarn of that I got is Quince & Co's Sparrow line. This is a 100% organic linen yarn and I am slightly terrified of working with it as it is my first time using plant-based fibers. But I've read and seen good things about this yarn so I just have to put some faith in myself and just go for it. This linen yarn will be used for my first top design - I'm keeping the construction very, very simple (basically rectangular in shape, no shoulder shaping, no sleeves), as this will be a spring/summer garment.

Not pictured is a third item that was bought along with the yarn - soak wash! I've never use soak wash when giving my knits a bath before blocking so I'm excited to use it as it will also make my FOs smell good! Stay tuned for part 2 when the yarn from Mont-Tricot comes in! (Hint, it's a Julie Asselin line!)
